Sir, Sub: Problems- Old age Disability & Disabled persons- Solutions? Ref: E-mail dated 15-06-2009 Kindly refer to my earlier e-mails addressed to you and your all higher administrative officers from time to time on the subject issue since last November'08 onwards. Ministry was requested to let us know the Exemptions, Relaxations and Special provisions / facility if any made out and available for Old Aged Disability & Disabled persons. Unfortunately no positive reply received so far from SJE ministry. Probably the reason of salience for such an unreasonable long period may be due to non existence of any specific rules made out / available so far for "Old Aged Disability & Disabled" category of the society. However that doesn't matter. Concerned ministry may like start thinking now to do something betterment for these persons. For this purpose suggestions / recommendations of organizations / individuals exclusively dealing with disabled person, specific views of disabled senior citizens may be called for and taken into consideration before a rule in this regard is framed and enforced. Since rendering assistance / help to "Old Aged Disability and Disabled" (other than financial matters) is the cry of the day of entire human society it is requested to initiate positive steps immediately to frame some useful laws to protect interest as well as enable leading a bit easy life at the fag end of their lives.
