Respected Superiors,
Thank you Pradhanmantri ji for your deep concern for Persons With Disability expressed in a meeting covered by Doordarsan on date (17-06-2011). I would like to bring a factual story for your kind information only.
That I am aged about 33 years, a very poor post polio effected disabled (80%) since early life, cannot move out side with out an escort, and can some how manage my small family by working as a mechanic for electrical & electronics at a small electronic shop with remuneration of Rs.600 /- P.M only.
That I wanted to have a small electronics repairing shops with the help of Govt. loans made available to disabled persons under different schemes & . accordingly I had contacted different Govt. offices in this connection but they have refused to entertain just because I don’t have EPIC issued in my favor. Ration Card, PAN Card etc other documents were not entertained. As I can not move out side some interested friends wanted & assured to assist & cooperate me in all respect in case I have my own shop.
That situation being thus I applied for issue of an EPIC to me. Unfortunately the Local authority and District Administration instead of helping me wanted to drive me out of electoral roll by way of differential treatment, misbehavior, misuse of government establishment, powers, insults made to disabled & entire PWD community, issue of a perverse, imaginary, fake office order by DM / N – 24 Parganas (W.B.). The entire episode is made known to every Government authority, general public of the globe through mails and different web sites with tons of eligibility documents / records / picture exhibits. However the Election Commission of India have kindly interfered, rejected perverse order of DM and arrange issue of EPIC in April’2011.[i.e. due to intentional differential treatment etc. to a disabled by administration, issue of EPIC delayed for 10 yrs = 3650 valuable days]

It is presumed that higher authority will take suitable actions against guilty persons. I am not interested to know the out come. But it is a fact that I, a poor disabled had lost every thing due to intentional & motivated worst dealings made to me by DM & its administration. The well wisher persons who wanted to help me in all respect initially are not interested now as they are engaged with some other job etc due to passage of time. I have become totally helpless now for administrative willful wrong decision prolonged for a decade. Unless I get some compensation from administration in lieu of wrong & injustice made to me it will be difficult for me to lead & continue life being a disabled (80%). Incidentally very recently while working at shop I slipped down and got fracture at my leg and plastered. Thus at present I have become a totally disabled person unable to earn. I under the circumstance, may request administration to consider a compensation for me so that I can lead further life. May Lord God bless a happy & hazard free life to every one. Thanks to you all.
