International Day of Persons with Disabilities - 3 December 2010 Quote | Reply

In view of ensuing International Day of Persons with Disabilities - 3 December 2010” to be observed by nations round the world:-

Suggestions made to all concerned, received from Sri. Barun Roy in connection with ‘50th reminder issued – with out response’ is pasted below for perusal please:- "

No need at all for counting total number of reminders issued beyond 50 and conducting a post mortem enquiry about negligence / ignorance of a person at the ministry. It is really surprising and painful to observe such neglect to a Disabled Sr.Citizen over the years when the ministry is headed by a most energetic, efficient lady Smt. Mamata Banerjee, who has respect for the Sr.Citizens especially to those who are disabled.

However railways may avail the opportunity to show sympatric consideration on humanitarian grounds to these disabled few extreme disabled Sr.Citizens during the ensuing “International Day of Persons with Disabilities - 3 December 2010” by allowing their attendant / escort to travel along with at the same compartment as prayed for. Road show, seminars, functions etc though considered not necessary may be arranged with out association of any NGO may be arranged at vacant stadiums where CWG’2010 conducted successfully few days back. Railway Minister may like to consider the proposal in view of her commitments at parliament that railways have some social responsibility towards countrymen. Submission ends.

Barun Roy
