Hello, I'm Sarah. I'm new here, actually I'm new to discussion boards in general. I have Cerebral Palsy, am thirty five, still live with my parents. I'm still looking for a decent job, have never had a job where I was making anything close to a normal salary..
Moving out is something I would love to do. It feels like I have very little choice about anything that happens to me. My parents are getting older and travel more and more. I enjoy traveling to see family and friends, but hate being gone more than I'm home. My parents are considering moving in a year or two, and I'd like to not move with them.
I'm on SSI, have no need of the money at this point, but do need the insurance. I know there are all kinds of government programs to help the disabled, but I would much rather work and earn my own way.
I love to write and read. I'm on the computer most the time, six days a week.. I have so many questions about life, so many frustrations. I hope that maybe I can get some answers here.
